Typhoon Chanthu adds to disruptions and delays

As we head into peak season, Typhoon Chanthu hits the world’s first and third busiest container ports. Operations in Shanghai and Ningbo ports have been suspended and container terminals are closed until further notice. Flights out of Shanghai Pudong, Ningbo and Hangzhou airports have also been cancelled.

In addition to Covid, the Typhoon is the latest in a long list of disruptions at China’s major export hubs.
